Bucci, Kirkman, Stewart Performers of the Weekend

In what is going to become a regular feature here on Hoopsfix, it’s time to recognise a number of standout individual performances this weekend across a number of EBL National Leagues with our Performers of the Weekend;

Ralph Bucci dropped a huge 48 points, leading his Tees Valley Mohawks over Medway Crusaders in EBL Division 2 Men’s.

Louie Kirkman (1991) had a monstrous game of 37 points and 20 boards for Portsmouth Smugglers v UWIC Archers in EBL Third Division South on Saturday. Portsmouth won by 4.

John Stewart (1993) had 39 points, (14/18 field goals, 1 three) 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocks whilst making all 8 of his free throws. He led his Sheffield Junior Sharks to a 96-58 victory over Huddersfield New College in U18 North Premier action.

Josh McGinn (1993) had 36 in his first game back after a 2 week lay-off with Manchester Magic II, but couldn’t stop them from losing 98-94 to Stockport in EBL Division 3 Men’s action.

The explosive Paul Elderkin (1987) had 38 but couldn’t prevent Durham losing to Leicester 94-82 in EBL Division 1 Men’s.

And finally, it wasn’t this weekend, but equally deserves a mention; Elliot Sentance (1994) scored 43 points, whilst draining 9 three’s for Leicester Warrior’s EBL Men’s Division 4 team against Coalville Cougars. They won 92-74.
