Ryan Martin Causing A Stir Stateside
Ryan Martin, widely regarded as the best U18 players who was still in the country last season, is now making a name for himself stateside after enrolling at Bridgton Academy prep school this season.
Martin, a 6’8″ power forward, has been turning heads on Day 1 of the National Prep Showcase-widely considered to be one of the premier post-graduate showcases in the nation, with over 75 college coaches on hand to scout the prospects.
Dave Telep a college basketball recruiting analyst for ESPN tweeted yesterday;
“Ryan Martin is a PF from Bridgton that is playing w/purpose. Native of England has caught folks attention.”
Whilst Daniel Evans, a writer for Scout.com also chimed in;
“Ryan Martin, of Bridgton Academy, is playing well. In a class with no bigs left mid-majors should take a peak at the 6’7 PF.”
Rodger Bohn, a writer at SLAM Online, also tweeted;
“Bridgton w/2 intl bigs I like for MM to MM+programs: Daniel Franca from Brazil and Ryan Martin from England”
Great news for Martin, a Barking Abbey and Westminster Warriors product, who will be looking to receive a NCAA Division 1 scholarship for next season.
