The Great Britain tandem of Ovie Soko and Will Neighbour combined for 51 points yesterday to lead the GB U20’s to a huge 98-89 victory over the previously undefeated Poland. GB had a massive second quarter, dropping 37 points whilst tearing the Polish defence apart.

Ovie Soko had 29 points on 11/19 shooting and added 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 1 block shot. His partner in crime Will Neighbour dropped 22 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Alex Marcotullio and Andrew Lawrence added 15 points each respectively.

The victory means the young GB side still have a chance for a semi final spot and winning promotion to Division A. The team will be rooting for Austria to win tonight against Poland which will advance GB to the next round even if they lose their game against Slovak Republic (from what I understand!).

You can find the full box score and play by play here. GB’s game against Slovak Republic tonight tips off at 6pm.
