Essex Pirates vs Everton Tigers
The Everton Tigers set up a meeting with the Cheshire Jets in the first round of the BBL playoffs after beating the Essex Pirates 108-86 to secure the 5th seed. Olu Babalola led the Tigers with 21 points, whilst Kevin Bell had 19. For the Pirates, Taner Adu had 22 whilst Randy George added 20.
Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders vs Guildford Heat
The Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders secured the sixth seed with an 86-79 victory over the Guildford Heat. They set up a first round meeting with the Glasgow Rocks. Duane James had 26 and 13 rebounds to lead the Riders to their best ever Home record. Julius Joseph had 23 to lead the Heat, backed up by 22 and 11 from Kenny Langhourne.
PAWS London Capital vs Cheshire Jets
The Cheshire Jets added another rout to the PAWS London Capital’s terrible record with an 85-57 victory. The Jets were led by 24 and 7 assists from Chez Marks. Ibrahim Gariba led the Capital with 24 and 9 rebounds.
Worcester Wolves vs Airwaves Plymouth Raiders
The Worcester Wolves kept their playoff hopes alive with a 100-84 victory over the Airwaves Plymouth Raiders. If the Wolves can beat Guildford tonight they will secure a postseason berth. Harry Disy led all scorers with 26 and 11 rebounds whilst Giedrius Knysas had 22 for Worcester. Anthony Rowe had 20 to lead the Raiders, helped out by 17 and 11 from Florentino Valencia.
Worthing Thunder vs Sheffield Sharks
Evaldas Zabas scored with 4 seconds remaining to crush the Sharks’ hopes of winning the title, giving the Thunder a 97-95 win over Sheffield. The loss means the Eagles take the regular season title. Reggie Bratton led the Thunder with 26 points whilst Ville Makalainen had 19. Mike Cook all scorers with 27, but his 3 in the final seconds rattled off the rim to give Thunder the victory.
