Rhode Island defeated Saint Joseph’s 87-76 last night in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament. Ben Eaves finished with a solid 5 points (2/3 from the floor, 1/1 threes), 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 17 minutes.
The fifth-seeded Rams (22-8) moved on to play the No. 4 seed, Saint Louis, on Friday.

Bethune-Cookman defeated Florida A&M 64-53 on Tuesday night in the first round of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament. The seventh-seeded Wildcats (17-15, 7-9 MEAC) not only avenged a 69-64 loss to the Rattlers on March 4, they also secured their second straight winning season — their only two in Division I play. Bad new for Brit Kene Anusionwu though as he registered a DNP.

Ogo Adegboye’s St. Bonaventure defeated Duquesne 83-71 on Tuesday night in the first round of Atlantic 10 Conference tournament in a Brits matchup. Morakinyo Williams grabbed 2 rebounds in 3 minutes of action.
The Dukes are 16-15 (7-9 A-10).

As mentioned above, the Bonnies advanced to the next round after beating Duquesne 83-71. Ogo Adegboye won the battle of the Brits, playing 19 minutes, going 2/3 from the floor (2/2 threes)and 1/2 at the line for 7 points, adding 2 assists and 1 steal.
The Bonnies (15-15) will play top-seeded Temple on Friday in Atlantic City, N.J.

Top-seeded Weber State held off Portland State 69-60 on Tuesday night in the Big Sky Conference tournament semifinals. Paul Guede played 23 minutes before fouling out in the loss, going 1/1 from the floor for 2 points, whilst adding 1 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
The Vikings finished 13-19 (7-9 Big Sky).
