The Marshall MK Lions held on for the tight win over the Cheshire Jets yesterday, 71-70. It was a big away win for the Lions, helping them retain their top three placing.
With the ball in the Jets’ Colin O’Reilly’s hands for the last shot and potential game winner, the Lions played tight defense and prevented him from getting a shot off.
The game was a scrappy one, with the Lions’ Coach Vince Macauley tweeting after the game
“Well pulled out a tough one vs Chester. We haven’t played well this weekend but showed tough character. Go Lions!”
The Lions were led by EJ Harrison’s 16 points, whilst the Jets were led by Chez Marks’ 19 points.
