Levi Noel, the 6’5″ point guard out of Luton is settling in “really well” at Eastern Illinois University, the NCAA Division 1 school he committed to over the summer where he feels he will be able to contribute right away coming off the bench this coming season.

In an exclusive chat with Hoopsfix, Levi spoke about the transition;

“I’ve settled in really well and I’m meeting new people everyday”

explained Noel who likely would’ve made the final GB U20 roster this summer had he not been injured on the third day of joining the team

“I’ve been welcomed to the team like a family member”.

“Workouts have been like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. In the first couple I felt like I wasn’t going to make it to the end, but by the end of the week I felt in way better shape. I’m learning a lot and getting much stronger in the gym already.”

Surprises like this have made Noel's transition easier

The facilities are what have most impressed the young do-it-all point guard who was at Notre Dame Prep School last season.

“The facilities are crazy, I live right next to the gym, have unlimited access to shoot and play whenever I want.”

he gushed,

“I even have a clean set of workout gear waiting for me in the locker room every time I go in!”

And how did it feel to see his name above that locker?

“It felt good, made me feel even more at home. Was kinda mad they put Bedfordshire instead of Luton but it’s all good-it says England which is the main thing!”

Noel will tip off his career as a Panther in an exhibition game against Illinois College on the 6th November. Keep it locked.
