Milton Keynes avenge Cup with U16 Girls Playoff title over Richmond
Milton Keynes Breakers rode a 40-point MVP performance from Athena Thompson to avenge their National Cup loss and claim the Under-16 girls playoff title over Richmond Knights.
Thompson was unstoppable from the start with all 16 of Milton Keyne’s first quarter points, having 27 in the first half and 38 midway through the third, as Milton Keynes secured a 90-75 win over Richmond.
Jovy Chan had 22 points on 9 of 14 shooting to aid Breakers, as they overcame a 29-point outing from Knights rising star Neve Rugette.
