Devon Van Oostrum wins Slovak Basketball League title in Game 7 decider

Devon Van Oostrum celebrated winning the Championship in Slovakia after Patrioti Levice won a decisive Game 7 in the playoffs finals.

The GB guard contributed 13 points, four rebounds and three assists in the series decider, on Monday, as his side defeated Komarno 78-61 for a 4-3 overall triumph.

Van Oostrum averaged 10.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists across 29 league appearances in Slovakia having started the season in the BBL with London Lions.

The 30-year-old joined Patrioti Levice in December following his release and netted 26 points in his second game for the club and also competed in FIBA Europe Cup.

DVO has played all across Europe in a long pro career with spells in Spain, Croatia, Finland, Lithuania, Greece, North Macedonia and his native Netherlands having been one of GB’s greatest junior products.
