Blayne Freckleton NBL D3

Milton Keynes Breakers secured the NBL Division 3 Playoff title in their maiden season in senior basketball with an 113-67 win over UEL London Lions.

Blayne Freckleton was unstoppable, knocking down ten three-pointers on his way to a 39-point outing and MVP honours, as Breakers punctuated an incredible season that included an 18-0 regular season to win the Division 3 East League title, along with a semi-final appearance in the National Cup, where they took a number of higher division scalps.

Captain Jordan Spencer had a 11-point, 16-rebound, 12-assist effort as UEL had no answers for the Breakers, who shot 50% from the field and knocked down 16 three pointers. Mike New Jr added 21, with Dante Langley adding 20 for the victors.

UEL London Lions came out with spirit, taking early control before a 9-0 run towards the end of first allowed MK to take control, dominating the second quarter behind 13 points from Freckleton to lead by 24 at halftime and cruise the rest of the way.

Box score.
