EUROLEAGUE SWITCHED TO FREESPORTS
Freesports will broadcast the EuroLeague in the UK this season.
The broadcaster, formerly the home of the BBL, will screen one live game per game on TV starting with this Thursday’s clash between Real Madrid and Anadolu Efes Istanbul.
It is understood that spells an end to EuroLeague’s stint on the streaming service Eurosport Player with full game coverage now to be available through the league’s own EuroLeague TV service.
Sky Sports will begin their British Basketball League coverage at the outset of the championship next month with Leicester Riders v Newcastle Eagles on October 29 believed to have been earmarked for the opening televised game.
