The Brixton Topcats and wider basketball community came together at Brixton Rec at the end of August for Jimmy’s Jam – a celebration of the legendary Jimmy Rogers and the impact he has had on the local community, following his tragic passing last year.
The likes of Luol Deng, Justin Robinson, Matthew Bryan-Amaning, Eric Boateng, and Marsha Ambrosius were all on hand to pay their respects to their original clubs’ founding father, who was at the helm of the Topcats for four decades and responsible for an extensive list of British basketball talent, whilst also providing an outlet and pathway for thousands of inner city youths.
