Leicester Riders have further strengthened their roster with the addition of former GB under-20 Raheem May-Thompson for the coming season.
The 24-year-old arrives following an impressive season in NBL Division 1 with league runners-up Derby Trailblazers, in which he averaged over 17 points per game whilst predominantly coming off the bench.
May-Thompson is also a former England under-18 international as well as competing at the 2010 Under-20 European Championships for GB; featuring in five games.
“Raheem is talented young player that works hard and we feel like can be an asset to our programme for the future,” said Riders Head Coach Rob Paternostro. “Over the last few weeks he has impressed us and we feel like he can really develop as a player here.”
May-Thompson will help to provide extra depth for the Riders alongside in his first main role in the BBL, having previously been on the bench of London Lions.
Leicester continue their BBL preparations with a pre-season trip to Sweden this coming week.
