With the fourteenth week of the college basketball season completed, we take a look at all the top performing Brits in NCAA Division 1 in the past seven days.

Player of the Week

Luke Nelson filled the stat-sheet twice this week as UC Irvine split their two games in the contined absence of Alex Young. The GB U20 guard had 8 points, six assists and three steals in a 70-63 loss last weekend before leading his team to a 75-60 victory at Hawai’i. Nelson tied his career-high with 8 assistst to compliment his 13 points whilst also adding 2 steals and a block in the win.

Best of the Rest

Teddy Okereafor scored 21 points to lead Rider to another victory whilst adding six rebounds and six assists in the 94-83 win against Quninnipac. The junior guard also had 13 points and 5 assists in the previous game.

Senior centre Gabe Olaseni stepped up off the bench to produce 12 points and 6 boards in a dominant win for Iowa. Jamie Batish scored 10 points in a 79-77 loss against South Dakota State with Western Illinois now having lost their last five games.

Ben Lawson shot 5-5 from the field on his way to 12 points in an 87-82 loss for Western Kentucky against Marshall. Centre Jack Crook scored 8 points in a 68-57 defeat for Seattle, before adding another 8 as well as 7 rebounds in a following 74-56 victory.

Will Saunders had 11 points as Charleston Southern edged out Longwood 65-64 before contributing 8 points and 8 boards in a fourth consecutive victory. Jesse Chuku helped Lehigh to a win in mid-week with 12 points and 7 rebounds off the bench.
