England Under-16s ended their preparation tournament in Slovakia with a 69-63 loss to the host country.
After going down early and trailing through, England fought back to take the lead with 6 minutes left in the third but Slovakia managed to regain control heading into the fourth. From there they didn’t let up and escaped with the victory.
Rayell Eytle-Rock led England with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals on 6/8 shooting, Carl Wheatle had his second consecutive double double with 11 points, 10 rebounds and Henri Langton joined them in double figures with 10 points and 8 rebounds in 19 minutes.
England finished the tournament at 1-2, with a victory over Czech Republic and a loss to Spain. They will now head into the next stage of their preparation for the Division B European Championships this summer, which is a series versus Sweden in London from June 19-22nd (venue TBC).
