Peckham Pride were crowned the 2014 Under-16 National Cup Champions as they routed Ipswich, 79-53, on Saturday afternoon at the Amaechi Centre, Manchester.
It wasn’t until the third period where the Pride took full control of the game, as Shaquille Walters scored 8 of his 12 points for Peckham, who overwhelmed Ipswich with their press.
From there, MVP Kemar Hawes, sealed the win, taking over in the fourth to finish with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals.
Gediminas Juozapaitis added 16 for Peckham, with Thai Segwai finishing with 11 and 4 assists.
Mark James had 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists whilst playing all 40 minutes for Ipswich, who turned the ball over 31 times.
