Luol Deng led the short-handed Bulls to a 101-97 victory over the Miami Heat last night, and in the process ended their historic 27 game winning streak.
The British forward had 28 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals, as the Bulls ended the second longest unbeaten run in NBA history.
“It was huge,” Deng said after the game. “We knew they were coming in playing unbelievable basketball. We knew it would take a lot of effort. We had some guys down. And we locked in. We know how good they are. But we know when we’re at our best, we can beat anybody. When we lock in like that. We’re hard to beat too”
LeBron James had 32 points and seven assists for the Heat, but let the frustration get the better of him late in the fourth quarter, throwing a hard shoulder into Boozer and being assessed his first flagrant foul in six years (see video below).
Meanwhile, Luol, who has a history of pulling moves on LeBron, added another to his career reel, catching him lightweight on the dunk in the second quarter (should’ve been and-1!):Chicago have now won three games in a row and will be looking to extend their own streak on Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks.Image Credit: NBAE/Getty Images
