Check out this new adidas video they dropped yesterday, providing some background on what the new Derrick Rose logo represents. In the description they said:

“The new D Rose logo represents Derrick’s on-court play, style and journey from Englewood to the NBA. The 3 petals revolve around “D” and “1” in the center with each petal paying homage to a family member that taught and guided him. all in for D Rose.”
