BA London Leopards’ Vernon Teel has been named the Division 1 Player of the Year as England Basketball have announced the 2011/12 honours as voted for by the respective teams in each division.
The 6’4″ guard led the Leopards to the Division Men’s league title and the National Cup title whilst being named MVP. Along the way, the former Loyola Marymount player led the league in scoring at 25.1ppg and assists at just under 8 per game (7.7), whilst also collecting 10 triples doubles on the season.
BA London Leopards take both Division 1 Men trophies this season as Dejan Mihevc has been selected as Coach of the Year. The Leopards will look to complete their season this weekend at the Final Fours in Manchester.
