Their record now stands at 1-2, as they sit in third place in Group C. Denmark remain the only undefeated team in the group.

Jamie Batish led England with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists, whilst Zak Wells was two points short of a double double, finishing with 8 points and 10 rebounds. Jordan Culley had 7 points, whilst Raphell Thomas-Edwards had 9 rebounds despite remaining scoreless.

England now face Portugal on Sunday afternoon, a must win game if they are to stand any chance of advancing to the next round.

Notes

  • It would appear SportMedia.tv who were responsible for livestreaming the games, have been stopped from streaming the games to anywhere outside of Bulgaria due to a FIBA Europe request. Apologies for all those who were expecting to view it but couldn’t view the stream yesterday, I was only made aware of this during the game! No more streams unfortunately.
  • Due to this post being published late, you can find a lot of comments regarding the Denmark game on the previous England-Belgium game post.
