Robinson Earns All-MAAC First Team Honours

Justin Robinson All-Maac First TeamTeam GB guard Justin Robinson has been named to the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference First Team, recognising what has been an impressive season for the Londoner.

Robinson is fourth in the MAAC in scoring (15.3), sixth in assists (3.9), first in free throw percentage (.902), first in three-point field goals made (81), third in three-point field goal percentage (.438) and fifth in assist-turnover ratio (1.5). The 6’2″ guard is also amongst the nation’s leaders in two statistical categories; 10th in in free throw shooting and 16th in three-point field goal percentage.



Speaking exclusively to Hoopsfix, Robinson said:

“I am very thankful to be selected and voted in by the coaches around the MAAC, it means alot to me.”

And with the postseason fast approaching, Justin is feeling good about Rider’s chances to go to the Big Dance:

“I think Rider has a great chance to go to the NCAA tourney, we have a experienced team and think we have what it takes to win our conference tournament. I’m looking forward to it.”

Rider have finished the season 22-9 overall (13-5 MAAC) and are the third seed taking on sixth seed Canisius (15-14, 9-9 MAAC) on Saturday at 10 pm in the quarterfinals. Rider won by one point at Canisius and lost by two points when hosting Canisius this year.
