Marcotullio Has Career Night, NCAA Recap

GB U20 Alex Marcotullio scored a career high 18 points as Northwestern rallied from a 10-point second-half deficit for a 68-57 victory over Minnesota on Wednesday night. Marcotullio, scored 10 points over a 6-minute span in the second half for the Wildcats (17-12, 7-11 Big Ten), who trailed 41-31 with 13:11 to play. Marcotullio added 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block in 32 minutes, shooting 5/9 from the floor and 5/5 at the line.

Iowa State beat Colorado 95-90 behind a second straight double double performance from Jamie Vanderbeken. Vanderbeken had 15 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal on 4/9 shooting (5/7 at the line) in 35 minutes.

UAB got a 67-66 victory over Southern Miss, clinching at least a share of the Conference USA title. Ovie Soko had 10 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist in 20 minutes, going 4/4 from the field and 2/3 at the line.

Duquesne held off St. Bonaventure 70-64. Ogo Adegboye had 12 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists in 39 minutes, going 3/11 from the floor and 6/6 at the line.

George Washington beat Rhode Island 66-55. Ben Eaves got a rare start, going 2/5 from the field for 5 points and 4 rebounds in 20 minutes.

Northern Arizona got a 79-52 victory over Portland State. Paul Guede had 2 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist in 18 minutes, going 1/3 from the field.

Second-seeded East Tennessee State held off Campbell 54-53 in an Atlantic Sun Conference tournament quarterfinal. ETSU has eliminated the Camels in the past two A-Sun tournaments. Larry Awosanya registered a DNP.

La Salle dominated Fordham in an 86-61 win. Fahro Alihodzic registered a DNP.

Central Florida defeated Southern Methodist 51-48. Myles Luttman registered a DNP.

Louisville got an 87-60 victory over Providence, who have lost seven straight. Lee Goldsbrough registered a DNP.

Monday 28th February
South Carolina State got past Florida A&M 65-53 Monday night. Joe Ikhinmwin played 15 minutes, going 2/4 from the field for 4 points (0/1 at the line) and 6 rebounds.
