Robinson & Rider Get W Over Walker’s Loyola, NCAA Recap

Justin Robinson’s teammate Danny Stewart hit a free throw with 3 seconds left to give Rider a 61-60 come-from-behind victory over Loyola (Md.) on Friday night, giving Rider their fourth win in five games. Justin Robinson had another solid showing with 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block in 34 minutes, shooting and efficient 5/7 from the floor (2/3 from deep, 3/3 at the line). Shane Walker played 26 minutes before fouling out for Loyola, finishing with 3 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block on 1/5 field goal shooting (1/2 at the line). Robinson’s British teammate Tom Pereira played 2 minutes, finishing with an empty statline.

Canisius defeated Marist 75-60. Menelik Watson played 26 minutes in the loss, finishing with 7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal on 2/5 shooting (3/6 at the line).

Stony Brook suffered a 62-49 loss to Boston University. Danny Carter played 29 minutes off the bench, finishing with 5 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist on 2/4 shooting.
