MBA’s 21 Not Enough, UW Lose 3rd Straight, NCAA Recap

It was a forgettable road trip through the Pacific Northwest this week for Washington (No. 19 ESPN/USA Today, No. 20 AP), who lost their third straight game last night, 81-76 to Oregon. Matthew Bryan-Amaning finished with 21 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block in 34 minutes, shooting an efficient 10/16 from the floor (1/3 at the line).

Kansas State rallied past Iowa State 86-85 despite a strong game from Jamie Vanderbeken. Vanderbeken went 6/8 from the floor (3/4 from deep, 3/3 at the line) for 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 blocks in 31 minutes.

Saint Mary’s held on to beat Loyola Marymount 79-70. Ashley Hamilton went 6/13 from the field and 4/4 at the line for 16 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals in 29 minutes.

Alabama-Birmingham got past Tulane 47-39. Ovie Soko played 30 minutes before fouling out, going 2/8 from the field (1/2 at the line) for 5 points, 11 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks.

Northern Colorado beat Portland State 85-72. Paul Guede went 3/5 from the field (3/3 at the line) for 10 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 3 steals in 18 minutes.

Utah Valley got a 73-66 victory over Houston Baptist. Ben Daniels played 19 minutes off the bench, going 3/5 from the field (2/4 from deep) for 8 points and 4 rebounds.

Nevada got past San Jose State 89-69. Patrick Nyeko played 14 minutes, going 2/2 from the field and 2/2 at the line for a season high 7 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists (season high) and 1 steal.

St. Bonaventure ended Duquesne’s 11-game winning streak with a 64-62 win. Ogo Adegboye played 33 minutes, finishing with 2 points (0/3 from the field, 2/3 at the line), 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal as well as an unsightly 8 turnovers.

Hampton defeated South Carolina State 64-53. Joe Ikhinmwin went 3/8 from the field in 30 minutes, for 6 points and 3 rebounds.

Central Connecticut State routed Robert Morris 80-58. Devan Bailey played 28 minutes, going 1/2 from the field and 1/2 at the line for 3 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.

Northwestern escaped with a wild 71-70 victory over ranked Illinois. Alex Marcotullio played 18 minutes, going 1/1 from the field  for 3 points, 1 rebound and 2 assists.

College of Charleston got a 73-54 victory over Furman. Andrew Lawrence played 24 minutes without a field goal attempt, but added 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.

Seton Hall almost upset Connecticut, but couldn’t quite get it done, losing 61-59. Aaron Geramipoor played 8 minutes, going 1/2 from the field for 2 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal.

Wagner held off Monmouth (N.J.) 63-60. Phil Wait had 2 points in 5 minutes for Monmouth, going 1/2 from the field, whilst Clayfell Harris registered a DNP for Wagner.

St. Francis (N.Y.) cruised to a 78-51 win over Sacred Heart. Richard Clark played 5 minutes, going 0/1 from the field to remain scoreless, whilst grabbing 1 rebound and blocking 1 shot.

Mount St. Mary’s (Md.) got past Fairleigh Dickinson 70-59. Sam Fernley played 1 minute, finishing with 1 rebound.

Long Island beat Quinnipiac 84-74. Raheem May-Thompson played 7 minutes, going 0/2 from the field to remain scoreless.

Temple defeated Rhode Island 80-67. Ben Eaves played 5 minutes, going 0/1 from the field to finish with an empty statline.

Southeast Missouri defeated Eastern Illinois 70-64. Levi Noel played 5 minutes, finishing with an empty statline.

Davidson pulled away in the second half to beat Chattanooga 73-59. Ben Allison played 4 minutes, finishing with an empty statline.

Georgetown got an 83-81 win over Providence. Lee Goldsbrough registered a DNP.

Appalachian State got a 68-62 victory over Elon. Ryan Kilmartin registered a DNP.

Oral Roberts got an 81-73 victory over North Dakota State. Mikey Manghum registered a DNP.

Washington State got a 61-55 win against Oregon State. Chris McNamara registered a DNP.

Wofford got a 74-60 victory over The Citadel. Morakinyo Williams registered a DNP.

Campbell suffered a 63-45 rout to Mercer. Larry Awosanya registered a DNP.

Richmond defeated Fordham 77-60. Fahro Alihodzic registered a DNP.
