Rider got a blowout win over Manhattan 88-59 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action on Thursday night. Justin Robinson finished with 11 points on 4/6 shooting (3/4 triples), adding 1 rebound, 3 assists and 2 steals in 29 minutes. Teammate Tom Pereira played 7 minutes off the bench, going 1/2 from three, to finish with 3 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist.

In a matchup of Brits, Charleston rallied from a nine-point deficit to beat Davidson 82-73 in the Southern Conference opener for both teams. Andrew Lawrence, back in action after missing the Cougars’ last game due to migraines, played 21 minutes off the bench, scoring 9 points, on 4/9 shooting, adding 2 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block. Ben Allison played 16 minutes for Davidson, going 1/4 from the floor and 2/5 at the line for 4 points, 1 rebound and 2 assists.

Saint Peter’s held off Loyola (Md.) 55-52 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener for both teams. Shane Walker played 28 minutes, going 2/8 from the field for 5 points, 2 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Eastern Illinois fended off Tennessee State 68-67 in an Ohio Valley Conference opener. The Panthers broke a school record with their seventh consecutive league victory, dating back to last season. Levi Noel played 4 minutes, going 0/2 from the floor to remain scoreless whilst securing 1 rebound.

The Citadel defeated Georgia Southern 65-52 in their Southern Conference opener. Morakinyo Williams played 13 minutes, going 1/1 from the floor for 2 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocked shot.

Oral Roberts past Western Illinois 71-58 in a Summit League opener. Mikey Manghum registered a DNP.

St. Francis (N.Y.) pulled away from St. Francis (Pa.) in the second half for a 57-44 win in the Northeast Conference opener for both teams. Richard Clark registered a DNP.

Chattanooga post an 81-69 comeback victory over Appalachian State in the Southern Conference opener on Thursday night. Ryan Kilmartin registered a DNP.

a hot-shooting Fairleigh Dickinson team to a 78-68 win over Bryant in the Northeast Conference opener for both teams on Thursday night. Samuel Fernley registered a DNP.
