Washington had an overwhelming first half, as the Huskies (No. 11 ESPN/USA Today, No. 13 AP) hit 17 3-pointers to crush Virginia 106-63 in the first round of the Maui Invitational on Monday night and remain undefeated at 3-0. Matthew Bryan-Amaning finished with 8 points on 3/4 shooting (2/2 free throws) adding 4 rebounds.

Notre Dame got an easy 97-72 win over Maine Monday night. Freshman Alasdair Fraser played 21 minutes off the bench, going 3/6 from the field for 6 points, whilst pulling down 5 rebounds, dishing 1 assist and blocking 1 shot.

Penn State used a hot start in the second half to pull away from Central Connecticut State 77-61, giving CCSU their first loss of the season. Devan Bailey got the starting spot, going scoreless on 0/1 shooting, whilst securing 1 rebound and 2 assists in 21 minutes.

Belmont routed Marist 102-74, to keep Marist without a win this season (0-4). Menelik Watson had 4 points, 1 rebound and 1 steal in 8 minutes in the starting spot for the Red Foxes.

George Washington beat Nevada 58-56. Patrick Nyeko played 2 minutes, going 0/1 from the floor to go scoreless whilst grabbing 1 rebound.
