Robinson, Soko, Continue Stellar Form

Justin Robinson continued his stellar form this season, scoring 17 points on 6/12 shooting in 34 minutes, adding 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 steal, but it wasn’t enough as Hofstra secured a 58-48 win over Rider. Rider have now lost two straight after winning four in a row. Teammate Tom Pereira got 4 minutes off the bench, finishing with 1 rebound and 1 assist whilst going scoreless (0/1).

Alabama-Birmingham blew open a close contest to roll over Troy 78-57. Ovie Soko played 33 minutes, getting his first double double of the season with a 10 point-13 rebound effort, adding 1 assist and 1 block. He shot 4/10 from the field and 2/5 at the line, whilst making it the third straight game he has finished in double digits.

Quinnipiac defeated Maine 75-67 in a matchup of Brits. Alasdair Fraser (Maine) played 23 minutes in the loss, going 5/6 from the field and 2/3 at the line for 12 points, 4 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Raheem May-Thompson (Quinnipiac) played 9 minutes in the starting forward spot for Quinnipiac, scoring 1 point (0/1 field goals, 1/2 at the line), grabbing 2 rebounds and dishing 1 assist.

Loyola (Md.) defeated Morgan State 73-67. Shane Walker had 9 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block before fouling out in 29 minutes. He shot 2/7 from the field and 4/4 at the line.

Providence won over Central Connecticut State 92-57 in another matchup of Brits. Devan Bailey (CCSU) played 8 minutes off the bench, going 1/1 from the floor for 2 points, 1 rebound and 1 steal. Lee Goldsbrough (Providence) played 6 minutes and grabbed 2 rebounds.

Davidson held off Monmouth 69-53. Ben Allison played 21 minutes for Davidson, going 0/2 from the floor and 2/4 at the line for 2 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal. Phil Wait played 11 minutes, going 0/3 from the floor to remain scoreless, whilst grabbing 1 rebound and dishing 1 assist.

Wagner got past Bucknell 77-73. Clayfell Harris played 7 minutes off the bench, going 2/2 from the floor for 4 points whilst dishing 1 assist.

Campbell cruised to a 77-64 win over Johnson C. Smith on Monday night. Larry Awosanya registered a DNP. Fairleigh Dickinson defeat Longwood 83-78. Sam Fernley DNP.
