Midnight Madness Nottingham was big
Saturday saw the final Midnight Madness qualifier of the summer-the North regional held in Nottingham.
Word on the grapevine was that it was gonna be a stacked day and when I showed up and saw an U18 team made up entirely of England U18 players (“Green Light”, the eventual winners) I knew we were going to be in for a good one.
Trust me, it did not disappoint with a ridiculous amount of highlights. Individual qualifiers will be announced on the official Midnight Madness website later this week. The team qualifiers from each division are as follows:

*awaiting on remaining names, if someone can get me them that’d be appreciated
Random Thoughts/Notes
- When I said earlier there were a ridiculous amount of highlights, that is no exaggeration. There were no less than 4 posters, as well as a number of other worthy highlight reel plays.
- Green Light in the U18’s division were so ridiculously better than everyone else, it almost seemed pointless playing lol. They brought a lot of highlights.
- In the U20’s big shout out to Jamell Anderson who was trying to dunk everything. Resulting in him having two facials served up, as well as a number of other big dunks.
- Myles Hesson has CRAZY bounce. For a guy his size to get up as high as he does it’s ridiculous. He goes up there as one of the best highflyers in the country.
- Caylin Raftopoulos is a highlight reel waiting to happen, proves you don’t have to be a dunker to get in a Hoopsfixtape ;)
- The Men’s Division was all about Darius Defoe. The guy is a monster and he absolutely POSTERISED someone.
- Joseph Baugh went through the legs on a fast break…and I missed it. Pissed. (he later got dunked on by Jamell lol).
