The GB Men’s team couldn’t make up for the absence of Pops Mensah-Bonsu and Nate Reinking yesterday, going down 94-83 to Holland in the final game of their Tel Aviv Tournament.
It was a comfortable victory for Holland, who held a 16 point lead at half time which they didn’t relinquish the rest of the way. Mensah-Bonsu and Reinking both had minor injuries which were chosen to be rested ahead of the start of the team’s Eurobasket qualifying campaign.
Matthew Bryan-Amaning led all GB scorers with 16 points, Rob Yanders had 15 and Flinder Boyd had 12.
Team GB finished the tournament 1-2, adding to a disappointing overall 1-4 record in their warmup games.
I’m still awaiting box score, will update this page when I get it.
