Airwaves Plymouth Raiders vs PAWS London Capital
The Airwaves Plymouth Raiders routed bottom of the table PAWS London Capital yesterday with a 115-76 victory. Terry Horton had 24 points for the Raiders, Matthew Hilleary had 21 and Gall had 19. Player-coach Milek Jivens had 28 points and 7 assists to lead the Capital, whilst Tomas Janusauskas had 23 points and 13 rebounds.
Glasgow Rocks vs Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders
The Glasgow Rocks sealed the 3rd seed in the BBL playoffs with a 101-92 victory over the Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders. Rob Yanders had 23 points and 8 assists to lead the Rocks, helped out by 20 from Mike Copeland, and a great all around efford from Jessie Sapp with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Bradd Wierzbicki had 26 and Jason Johnson had a double double with 19 and 10 rebounds in the losing effort.
Guildford Heat vs Worcester Wolves
Worcester Wolves continued in their pursuit of a playoff spot with a 102-88 victory over the Guildford Heat. Wolves backcourt Rod Middleton and Kastytis Normantas led the victors with 32 (14 rebounds and 6 assists) and 22 points respectively. The Guildford Heat were led by two Brits; Tayo Ogedengbe, who is having a strong finish to the season had 28 on 11/16 shooting, whilst veteran Julius Joseph had 21.
Cheshire Jets vs Newcastle Eagles
The Newcastle Eagles tied things up once more at the top of the table, with a 93-85 win over the Cheshire Jets. Joe Chapman led the Eagles with 24 points (all three’s, shooting 8/13), whilst Charles Smith had 16 for the Eagles. The Jets were led by 26 Jerrah Young points (and 10 rebounds), 25 from Chez Marks, and 24 and 10 from Colin O’Reilly.
