Jason Swaine Dominates, EBL Regular Season Statistical Leaders

England Basketball LogoEngland Basketball have announced the top ten leaders of each statistical category in each division for the 2009/2010 season.

In the Division 1 Men’s, it was Nathan Connolly of Tees Valley who grabbed the scoring title with a 26.78ppg average, he was joined by Leeds Carnegie’s Adrian Fenyn who grabbed the rebounding title with 11.79rpg and the 2 point field goal percentage title at 63.40%, Manchester Magic’s Brandon Kimbrough who got the assist title at 5.95apg, Michael Gregory of Bristol Academy Flyers who led the league in 3 point field goal percentage at an impressive 51.11% clip and John Olinger of the Coventry Crusaders who led the league in free throw percentage at 84.92%.

Other notables included Barking Abbey’s Natalie Stafford who led Women’s D1 in scoring at 25.67ppg, Ta’Yani Clark who led the same league in rebounding at a dominant 14.88rpg, Brad Smith (Medway Park Crusaders) who led Division 2 in scoring with 27.41ppg, Matthew Martin (Mansfield Giants) who hit an impressive 72.04% of his 2 point field goal attempts to lead the same league, and D2 scoring leader Andrew Harper at 27.50ppg.

Special mention must go to D4’s Jason Swaine (Huddersfield Heat) who not only led the league in scoring (30.88ppg, highest average of any league),  but also assists at 6.88ppg (highest average of any league) and 3 point field goal percentage at a ridiculous 56.25%  (highest average of any league). Wow.
