3 Nice Articles on Brits in College Stateside

Ovie Soko in HS

Ovie Soko was dominant in High School

In my scouring of the internet to make sure I am up to date with the British basketball world I came across three separate pieces in the last few days that I thought worth sharing, so check em out!

1) Basketball takes UAB freshman Ovie Soko away from his London home
A real nice article on UAB freshman Ovie Soko, how he first got into basketball, how he ended up playing NCAA Division 1 College ball and the potential his coach sees in him for the future.

2) U.S. college basketball’s tallest player is 7 ft 8 ins and from England
7 foot 8 inches?! Wow. Makes it even better that Paul Sturgess is from England (Loughborough). Big shout out to Christian Dapp who posted this on his Facebook.

3) UW’s Matthew Bryan-Amaning develops into a viable center
I saw this from Matt Clear on Twitter. A great, great article on Matthew Bryan-Amaning’s recent success during the Huskies win streak (make sure you tune in Thursday for their Sweet 16 game!) and how he has overcome all the haters.
