Newcastle Knights captured the inaugural BCB Playoff title with a 93-83 win over Aldermore Reading Rockets at Leeds Beckett Arena.
The final was level at 68-68 heading into the fourth quarter before Newcastle made their move, building a 10-point lead inside the final three minutes and closing out the game down the stretch.
Sam Trunley led the Knights with 30 points and was named Finals MVP despite suffering an ankle injury in the fourth quarter.
Bradley Dean added 20 points, while Messiah Jones produced a huge double-double with 18 points and 20 rebounds. JaRon Thames also played all 40 minutes, finishing with 14 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
Victor Olarerin led Reading with 25 points, while Jax Bouknight added 20 as the Rockets fell short of adding the playoff crown to their league title.
