Undiscovered England Basketball

Undiscovered England, a new annual event for the UK’s top under-17, under-18 and under-19 players will be tipping off on Thursday with two days of action at UEL SportsDock.

With the players hand selected, the event is run by UK basketball tour operator BTM alongside Daniel Poneman’s Weave Agency and JUCO Advocate. Poneman, a Chicago basketball mainstay who started scouting as a teenager, is known for being one of the key agents shaping the NIL space in college basketball, having scouted and consulted for NBA, college and international teams, before becoming an agent.

Taking place from 9am-4:30pm both days, players will have key measurements recorded, educational sessions on the US college basketball system, individual skills development before open scrimmages in the afternoon.

“We’re excited to welcome Weave Agency and JUCO Advocate – two of the most respected names in US college basketball recruitment – to the UK to scout some of our top junior talent,” BTM Director Tom Ward said.

“It’s taken a lot of work behind the scenes to bring this opportunity to life, and we’re proud to provide a platform that connects British players with genuine international exposure.

“BTM Basketball remains committed to creating these kinds of experiences, and we hope the event delivers real value to both the athletes and the programs involved.

“This completely free showcase offers invaluable visibility and the potential to open new pathways to the next level. Our aim is to make this a standout annual event on the UK basketball calendar.”

The event is free for spectators.
