Newcastle Eagles are heading to the European North Basketball League (ENBL) Final Four, after dispatching of Bakken Bears 177- 160 win on aggregate in the two-leg quarter-finals.
After losing the first leg by three, Eagles took a decisive 93-73 victory in the second leg on Tuesday evening, avenging their defeat to Bakken – who went on to the the title – in last year’s playoffs.
De’Sean Allen-Eikens had 12 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter to lead Eagles, while Trey Pulliam had 16 points off the bench and Josh Ward-Hibbert checked out with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Newcastle took a 7-1 record into the playoffs after topping Group A, and now sit at 8-2 overrall.
They will await to find out their opponents from the winner of the Dziki Warszawa – Bamberg Baskets quarter-final.
