Gibbins, Striuga win Jordan 40 Years of Greatness 1v1 tournament

Louis Gibbins and Oskar Striuga have one the Jordan 40 Years of Greatness 1v1 tournament in female and male categories, respectively, on Sunday at The Regal.

Both advanced through the knockout competition to the title, at the event that was held to celebrate Jordan’s 40 year anniversary and was held in collaboration with Ghanaian streetwear brand Free The Youth.

“First of all, I’m tired man,” Striuga, who plays for London Stars, said after winning.

“Thanks to everyone that came to play, the match ups were crazy, what can I say, I guess I’m king of London huh?!”

Gibbins, who plays for Ipswich, added:

“Feels really good. It’s been great to play against different competition to normal in a different game, as well.”
