Hailing from Sheffield, the top British prospect has completed 12 workouts with NBA teams, with feedback said to be positive.
“(Quinn) Received strong interest and positive feedback from NBA teams throughout the pre-draft process,” Chepkevich tweeted.
“One of the most interesting stay/go decisions of the draft class has decided to bet on themselves and make the leap.”
Ellis averaged 8.9 points, 3.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds on 61.0 TS% in EuroCup action this season, including two game winners, before breaking his fifth metatarsal which saw him out for 2 months only to return in April and have an immediate impact in Legabasket games for Trento.
He will now remain in the US until the draft, continuing with workouts in an effort to move up the boards.
Most recently, the 6’4″ point guard appeared at number #88 in Draft Express’ Top 100 rankings.
