Milton Keynes completed a spectacular season with a 86-68 win over Solent Kestrels to claim the NBL Division 2 Playoff title at the NBPC in Manchester on Saturday.
Jordan Spencer completed his NBL Division 2 Player of the Year season with a Finals MVP after finishing with 26 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and five steals, as the Breakers will now look ahead to Division 1 promotion next season after working their way up from Division 3 in consecutive seasons since the inception of the men’s program.

“We’re all playing for things bigger than ourselves,” Spencer said after the game.
“We’re all hometown kids and we just wanna do it for Milton Keynes…we won all the competitions we could bar the Kitking trophy, the team’s in Division 1 next year so that will be greater competition for the club, the junior programme is flying, Milton Keynes is back on the map.”
Chris Tawiah was a force inside, with 21 points on 9/12 shooting along with 15 rebounds, as Milton Keynes overcame poor shooting from the majority of their core to convert 24 of their 28 free throw attempts.
Isa Brandon had 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead Solent but struggled to keep his head in a testy affair, with Ash Briggs adding 19 and 12.
