City of London Academy asserted their dominance of women’s academy basketball in England with a fourth consecutive WEABL championship on Wednesday afternoon in Manchester.
CoLA took down rivals Copleston 89-84 in a game that went down to the wire. Ayla Habbal was named MVP after coming up clutch down the stretch to finish with 17 points and seven assists.
Felicia Jacobs continued her dominance inside with a 16-point, 16-rebound double double, as CoLA saw five players reach double figures, including Adoara Dioramma who had 16 points in just 22 minutes before fouling out.

Yazmin Edwards’ 27 points was not enough for Copleston, as Christabel Osarobo added 22 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks.
