Head coach Lee Davie has confirmed his Great Britain Under-16 Women’s roster for the FIBA European Championships Division B, which start on Thursday 10 August in Podgorica, Montenegro.

GB were drawn in Group C and will face the Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark and Iceland.

Ahead of their opening game against Iceland on Thursday, Davie said: “We’ve had a great preparation phase over the last three months. The engagement and performance on and off the court has been outstanding from both players and parents alike.

“This is a truly deep and talented age group from our initial squad of 23 players down to our final 12 players who will represent us in Montenegro. The work being done by the players at both club level and in our home nations development pathways has allowed us to quickly prepare a team that we believe our nation can be extremely proud of.

“I would like to thank all the staff who have been outstanding during this preparation phase, but a special shout out to Dan Cruse who has had a fantastic impact on both the players and the staff. We cannot thank Dan enough for his knowledge, energy and enthusiasm which is a huge part of why we are where we are today.”
