The final 12-player roster for GB’s Under-20 Women was confirmed ahead of their European Championship Division B campaign in Craiova, Romania.
Chantelle Handy takes charge of a GB junior squad for the first time with former GB teammate Renee Busch an assistant coach alongside Brent Bulls’ Kenrick Liburd.
The roster – the first GB U20 team since 2019 – includes a number of players returning from America including Molly Lavin, Ella Doherty and Katie Januszewska, who has will rejoin Leicester Riders next season.
Hoopsfix All-Star Classic MVP Fatmata Janneh links up with WEABL Finals MVP Ebere Egbirika again with US bound Anya McKenzie adding size to the frontcourt alongside Chenai Mushore.
Sheffield Hatters trio Abbey Whitehouse, Charli Wroe and Kian Omer-Jones add depth to the backcourt along with Natalie Charity – who also competed at the U18 European Championship – while new London Lions addition Faye Endean was a surprise omission in camp.
There is also a new face amongst the GB junior setup in Kaylie Edge with the California native heading into a sophomore year at Sacramento State after this summer.
GB open their campaign against Ukraine on Friday before taking on Germany and Switzerland in subsequent group games.
