Sam Dekker has been confirmed as the BBL Player of the Year for the 2022-23 season.
The star forward posted averages of 17.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game across 21 league appearances having played a major role in the success of London Lions this season.
Dekker was also named MVP in the BBL Cup final triumph over Leicester Riders before helping the team capture the regular season title.
He picked up 11 first-placed votes from across the league’s coaches and captains, while VJ King had six first-placed votes and there was also three for Tajh Green. Full voting, HERE.
The former Houston Rockets draft pick also played a key role in the Lions’ debut venture in EuroCup – as the competition’s second leading scorer – having joined from Turkish side Bahcesehir College, where he won the FIBA Europe Cup title last season.
