GB’s Senior Women now know who they will face at FIBA Women’s EuroBasket 2023 after the draw for the Final Round was conducted in Slovenia, on Wednesday.
Chema Buceta’s side were amongst the third seeds and were placed into Group C with top-seeded France, hosts Slovenia and Germany.
They will be play in Ljubljana, Slovenia with Tel Aviv, Israel also hosting two groups before the Final Phase is held in Slovenia’s capital.
GB qualified for this summer’s tournament as one of the best-ranked runners-up with emphatic home wins over Estonia and Portugal in the final window, in February.
Veteran duo Chantelle Handy and Azania Stewart announced their international retirements after qualifying, while GB have seen the rise of the likes of Holly Winterburn and Cheridene Green alongside star forward Temi Fagbenle.
GB missed out on the 2021 edition, two years after making a historic run to the semi-finals in the previous event – with a repeat clash with France now on the horizon.
