Brit quartet punch ticket to NCAA Tournament with second straight Big Sky title

Montana State Big Sky Champions 2023

Montana State, with their quartet of Brits, defeated Northern Arizona 85-78 to win the Big Sky Conference Tournament for the second consecutive year on Saturday, punching their ticket to the NCAA tournament.

Jubrile Belo, Great Osobor, Caleb Fuller and Assistant Coach Chris Haslam will all be dancing as the Bobcats will go to the NCAA Tournament for back to back years for the first time in programme history.

Belo was named to the All-Tournament team after a series of strong performances, including 14 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in the final, while becoming MSU’s all-time leading scorer in the tournament.

Fuller had 12 points and 8 rebounds in the final, with Osobor adding 9 points and 7 rebounds.

The Bobcats were the fourth seed heading into the conference tournament, defeating Northern Colorado, Weber State – a 2OT thriller – and Central Arizona to set up the final.

They will await to find out their opponents on Selection Sunday.
