France’s NBA contingent have not been allowed to face Great Britain in a EuroBasket qualifier in Pau next month.

The bar sees a huge revision from head coach Vincent Collet, who has called up Monaco’s Abdoulaye N’Doye and Damien Inglis.

Théo Maledon (NBA Draft camp) et Axel Toupane (injury) miss out in a 13-strong squad for the duel which will be held within a bubble in which teams will be expected to gather together on site rather than in their homelands.

In other news, the French Basketball League has been suspended because of government restrictions due to Covid.

The likelihood, with economic and movement restrictions in place, is that it will not resume until December at least although there is, as yet, no indication that the EuroBasket group games will be moved.
