Great Britain were beaten 79-57 by Bulgaria at the U20 European Championship Women Division B up in Podgorica as the quest continues to record a first triumph.
GB had looked well placed to rack up their maiden success on Montenegrin soil after a nice opening half which had witnessed them move 37-34 ahead at the interval, thanks to a flurry of scores from downtown.
But when they re-emerged from the locker room, they were confronted by a rejuvenated Bulgaria who jumped into the box-seat with a scorching 23-6 third quarter.
GB had no answer in the final quarter as Bulgaria continued controlling the rebounds which paved the way for a comfortable victory.
Evelyn Adebayo led the way in defeat with 14 points.
