- National Teams
Take a look back at one of the elite players of the 1998 born generation, Carl Wheatle, dominating at Haris Memorial Tournament for the England U18s over the Christmas break 2014.
The 6’4″ guard/forward impressed with his all around game across the three days, being named to the All Tournament Team, with his tournament high of 28 points against St Andrew’s in the semi-final loss that went to overtime.
Wheatle, who signed a four year deal with Italian side Angelico Biella in 2013, has just helped the U19 squad to the second third place national finish in the club’s history – which was the reason he was unable to suit up in the Hoopsfix All Star Classic U17 game.
Playing seven games in seven days, his squad won four and lost three, knocking out the home team in the quarter finals as Wheatle averaged 7 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists through the post-season.
The former London Greenhouse Pioneer will be returning to England this summer to represent the U18 national team.
