Hoopsfix All Star Classic 2015 Announced

After months of tinkering behind the scenes, we’re pleased to announce the second annual Hoopsfix All Star Classic, taking place on Saturday May 23rd at Brixton Recreation Centre in South London.

The one day showcase of British basketball talent builds upon its inaugural event in 2014, which sold out 3 weeks in advance and put some of the top talent in the country on the floor at the same time. This year, the focus will be solely on the younger prospects coming through, with an Under-19 and Under-17 game headlining the day, as we move from West London to South London to what many consider the home of British basketball, Brixton Rec.

As we found last year, trying to run events is incredibly challenging but also hugely rewarding, and with the backing of a group of eleven supporters; Molten, 2tall.com, Sportserve Ltd, BasketballDirect.com, Bigfoot Basketball, Reach & Teach, 5or6, Always Ballin’, Let Me Play, CocoPro and Wilkie TV, we are going to once again put on a day to remember that will tip off the summer in the perfect way.

In the week run up to the event we will have a closed door coaching clinic for hand picked kids from the London School of Basketball, which will be ran by Reach & Teach, our official community development partner.

Then on the day, at 1pm the doors will open to the public, as the best under-17s in the country, will suit up in an exhibition tipping off at 2pm to show just how much talent we have coming through. There will be no rest as at 4pm, the top under-19s will take to the floor, in what will be the largest collection of elite young talent seen in the UK in one place in recent memory.

Rosters and full coaching lineups will be released in the coming weeks, with further announcements regarding sponsors and partners to be added.

Once again, there are limited tickets, and if last year is anything to go by, they will be gone soon! None will be available on the door, so all we can say is to buy early. Last year we were inundated with requests after we had sold out – so consider this a pre-warning; do not wait on it!

Like last year, we are not holding any back for freebies and whatever else, so please do not expect to hit me up a couple of days before the event expecting to get in. Due to Health & Safety, we have a maximum capacity in the gym which we physically are not allowed to go over or we get shut down. I’ll say it again – BOOK NOW to avoid disappointment!

Buy your tickets direct from Eventbrite or tell people to to visit Hoopsfixallstarclassic.com.

Finally, I am going to need all of your support on this to make the day reach its potential – please spread the word (using the hashtag #HASC15) – we have a number of freebies to be given away to those that make the most noise about it which will be announced shortly.

If you run a website, or any sort of media outlet and want to help let people know about the basketball talent that exists in the UK, please let me know. Email me on [email protected] with questions or for media accreditation requests on the day.
