YOUTH SQUADS GET EURO DRAWS

Great Britain’s Under-20s, plus the home nations at Under-18 and 16 level, have found out their path through the 2015 European Championships.

The draw was made on Sunday in Budapest with an increased uptake of entrants, with Ireland raising their number of youth teams as Basketball Ireland’s financial position improves.

“We expect even greater commitment in 2016 with even more teams participating,” said FIBA Europe secretary-general Kamil Novak. “All our Federations will feel this return on investment in the next few years when more high level players will get a chance to play in leagues like the NBA, and of course for their national teams.”
