The latest highlights round-up around the BBL features an historic milestone for Charles Smith as Newcastle, Leicester (pictured), Manchester and Cheshire all pick up wins.
The defending league champions made top spot their own over the weekend with their second consecutive double winning weekend. The first of which saw Newcastle Eagles defeat Surrey United 105-78 at Sport Central with Smith scoring 20 points to reach 6,000 in his BBL league career.
Leicester Riders kept up the pressure on their rivals after inflicting a third straight loss on the Bristol Flyers with an 83-54 victory. Pavol Losonsky top scored for the home side with 19 points while Neil Watson added 18 to continue his fine scoring form.
Manchester Giants claimed their first road win of the season after an impressive shooting display led by 22 points from Darren Best. Durham had rallied from an early deficit to level going into half-time but fell away in the final quarter in a 92-84 defeat.
The final highlights package of the week sees Cheshire Phoenix end their losing streak with an 89-86 win at the Emirates Arena. The visitors were led by 26 points apiece from Demond Watt and Mike DiNunno. Check out the phantom action below from a home point of view:
